ISLAMABAD: The diehard supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are very enthusiastic about the event the party is holding at the Fatima Jinnah Park in the federal capital to celebrate its 20th birth anniversary.

They are celebrating party’s 20th anniversary with the pledge to make Pakistan a welfare state where norms of equality, social justice and rule of law will reign supreme and injustice will vanish once and for all.

Talking to Daily Times, PTI activist Bilal Ahmad said that all diehard supporters of the PTI and its chief Imran Khan would put up a spectacular show on party’s 20th birth anniversary. He said that people would flood the event, where Khan would speak to them.

Zain Ahmad Tariq, another diehard supporter of the party, said the Islamabad Students Federation, which has members from twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, had made special arrangements for the anniversary celebrations. He said that they would take out a motorcycle rally and gather at Centaurs on the Jinnah Avenue and then they would head to the venue of the party’s anniversary celebrations. Several party activists, talking about Khan’s speech at the anniversary celebrations, said that it would be important for the nation because he would announce the future line of action of his party in the last part of his speech.

Over 5,000 streamers and boards have been put on display in the federal capital in connection with PTI’s anniversary celebrations. The Gate No. 1 of the Fatima Jinnah Park has been reserved for the general public and the Mehran Gate in front of F-10 Sector will be opened for the executive body of the PTI, parliamentarians and media persons. The area in front of the Mehran Gate has been reserved for car parking. The PTI has deployed 40 people for security. All people entering the venue of the PTI meeting will walk through security gates.

Five containers have been used to set up the stage for the party leadership. A stage consisting of seven containers has been reserved for the local and the foreign media.

The Islamabad Administration has deployed 6,000 security personnel, including personnel of the Special Branch of the police and intelligence agencies, to maintain law and order on this occasion.

DJ Sheikh will perform on the occasion instead of DJ Butt and he has installed more than 200 high quality speakers at the venue of the PTI meeting at the Fatima Jinnah Park in the F-9 Sector of the federal capital. He has arranged eight generators to deal with unexpected power load shedding during the event. At least 40,000 chairs have been put in place for the participants. A separate platform of 2,000 chairs has been set up for the women workers of the party. At least 120 chairs have been placed for the VIPs. A fence of barbed wire has been set up around the venue as a security measure.

More than 3,000 balloons will be released into the air to inaugurate the event. In line with its past tradition, the PTI has invited leading singers Abrar-ul-Haq, Atta Ullah Essa Khelvi and Syed Bilal to perform on this occasion.

A bomb disposal squad will check the venue before commencement of the event. A special checking of the stage will be done before the event begins.

According to the PTI officials, more than 200,000 people are likely to attend the event.

Traders at F-10 Markaz said that they had stocked big quantities of food items to cater to the needs of the people coming to the event from all parts of the country. Vendors and stall owners would not be allowed to gather at the venue.

PTI media coordinator Rizwan Malik said that foolproof security arrangements had been made for the event where party chief Imran Khan would inform the nation about the facts relating to the Panama leaks and his party’s future line of action on this issue.
