LAHORE: Sachal Studios, Pakistan’s only fully-trained orchestra, performed in an exclusive concert at a country club on Saturday.

People from all walks of lives were present on the occasion.

Sachal Studios, for the first time brought together their orchestra, jazz ensemble and recording artistes all in one concert. There was a selection of performed songs from all their genres: Sufi/Kafi, classical, folk and pop from renowned artistes!

Alongside were the jazz renditions of well-known and much loved melodies, which have been hugely popular in the jazz concerts they have had in Pakistan and abroad. Drawing on influences from Lahore to New York, the Sachal ensemble presented innovative jazz and bossa nova standards from their recent album that has captured musical imaginations with a flood of Internet hits. After their astounding success, Sachal Studios want to bring the same music and test its mettle in the local musical landscape.

Sachal Studios is the brainchild of Izzat Majeed and the only existing platform in Pakistan, which has a fully-trained orchestra and a huge following globally. The quality of the music produced is grand and symphonic due to the well-trained orchestra, which aims to play and create timeless music.

On the event, Sachal Studios Founder Izzat Majeed said while talking exclusively to Daily Times, “It was wonderful performing in front of an enthusiastic crowd. We are also thrilled to announce Pakistan’s first Jazz Festival, which is to be held this year in winter. The festival will indeed be a game changer for our current music industry.”
