Musharraf’s plea against non-bailable arrest warrants adjourned

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday adjourned till April 28 the hearing on a petition filed against issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants of former president Pervez Musharraf in the Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case. The hearing was adjourned due to absence of lawyers. The IHC Judge Amir Farooq took up the case for hearing on Monday, the court was told that Malik Tahir Mehmood, counsel for Musharraf could not appear due to his pre-occupation. Additional and Sessions Judge Pervezul Qadir Memon issued non-bailable arrest warrants of former president on February 20th, which has been challenged in the IHC. The subordinate court rejected medical certificates of Musharraf and had issued non-bailable arrest warrants.
