SARGODHA: At least two infants died in the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Sargodha on Monday due to the ongoing strike by the young doctors. The young doctors in Sargodha hospitals have been on strike for the three days after they had an altercation with senior doctors, who had refused to budge to the demands of young doctors who wanted closure of hospitals. The young doctors have been observing strike after an MNA had allegedly tortured a young doctor in DHQ hospital Sargodha. According to hospital sources, senior doctors and paramedical staff were engaged with other health emergencies while abandoning the child and nursery ward, which resulted in the death of two infants.
