ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Monday said that hands of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are clean and that is why he has presented himself for accountability. While talking to media on Monday, Pervaiz Rashid said that the prime minister has categorically stated that he would go back home if proved guilty by the commission. He said that Imran Khan wants to save his close associates by opposing a transparent and across the board inquiry. The information minister regretted that the PTI leader is making hue and cry over Panama leaks issue despite transparent mechanism announced by the prime minister to address the concerns of the opposition. He said that in democracy issues are discussed and debated on the floor of the Parliament. However, if Imran Khan feels that he has no effective presence in the Parliament because of verdict of people against him then he should have faith in the judges of the Supreme Court. Pervaiz Rashid said, “We have been accepting verdicts of the Supreme Court judges in the past and would continue to do so in future as well”. The information minister said that the prime minister is taking all political forces along to effectively address the challenges confronting the country.
