ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah has demanded the accountability of the prime minister. Being head of the state, accountability of prime minister (PM) should be conducted in the first phase.

While talking to media persons in Islamabad, Khurshid Shah said that the moral position of the prime minister is weak, as he has failed to expose his assets.

Shah said, “The formation of commission under the supervision of chief justice of Pakistan is the unanimous demand of opposition while our demand is to probe the assets of prime minister and his other family members”.

He said that the combine strategy of opposition would come out on May 2nd as it has not been finalised yet.

Khurshid Shah further said that the opposition was not consulted while writing a letter to chief justice of Pakistan, on which we have some reservations adding that the letter should be written to chief justice as per demand of the opposition.

Khurshid Shah concluded by saying that, “We do not like the probe from 1947 and if the commission has started its investigation from same year it would take the period of one century”.
