ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday established a rare contact with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. According to sources, both the leaders discussed developments over Panama leaks.
Sources said that Qureshi told Bilawal that PTI’s anti-corruption campaign in Sindh is not against PPP or its provincial government. Earlier, Qureshi met with the National Assembly’s (NA) leader of the opposition Syed Khurshid Shah in Islamabad on Monday and had discussion with reference to the investigation of the assets owned by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his family.
While talking to the media, Qureshi said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and PPP are making collective efforts to deal with the issue.
He said that his thoughts regarding the matter were delivered to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto through an unnamed friend. The PTI leader said that the parties who have rejected the Terms of References (TORs) will make the strategy for the future adding that the people of Sindh are equally troubled with the Panama leaks issue as the Sindhi people have always actively participated in every democratic movement.
