Silent protest held for victims of Lahore park blast

LAHORE – At the completion of one month to the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park suicide blast that claimed at least 74 innocent lives, Rawadari Tehreek held a silent protest in front of the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday.

The protesters expressed solidarity with the victims of violent extremism and demand appropriate policy and strategies to eliminate hatred, extremist mindset and terrorism. members of Rawadari Tehreek from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan participants in the protest. Wearing black bands and holding plycards with different slogans, the protesters demanded eradication of the violent extremism and terrorism.

Rawdari Tehreek Chairman Samson Salamat, President Abdullah Malik and Punjab President Sabira Asmat led the protest, while a large numbers of renowned political and social activists of different political parties participated including Komal Patras, Saima Arif, Adoo Ram and Amna Malik.
