ISLAMABAD: IG police Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin has warned the SHOs of 22 police stations of the federal capital and the respective DSPs to improve performance, adding the process of punishment and reward will be initiated on the basis of weekly report of each police station.
Presiding over a meeting, the IGP directed the police officers to ensure registration of cases following reporting of crimes. Stern departmental action will be initiated against the respective officer if any delay is made in registration of FIR, he warned.
The IGP said the campaign launched against the proclaimed offenders be geared up and all SDPOs and SHOs should ensure their attendance in their respective police stations. All the resources be mobilized to sort out the problems of the citizens who visit police stations on top priority basis, he said.
The IGP said that protecting the life and property of citizens of Islamabad is our first and foremost obligation. Stern action will be taken if any complaint is received against any police officer of Islamabad in this regard, he said.
