CDA summons Lake View Park stall owners

Author: By Farid Sabri

ISLAMABAD: The CDA has called the real kiosks owners at Lake View Park along with their original documents as the series of subletting of kiosks has not only created security problems at the park but also the CDA does not know as to who are the real owners of these stalls. Due to fear of any untoward incident at the leisure park, the CDA has called 22 vendors within one week’s time. The allotment of kiosks would be cancelled of those people who would not present themselves in person or those who have rented out their kiosks to any other person. The Directorate of Administration had cancelled the contract of some 55 kiosks, but they continued their business openly with the consent of the staffers deputed at the park. The CDA has prepared a summary regarding the illegal kiosks at Lake View Park on which the orders have been passed by the high ups to initiate a grand operation against these kiosks — which is expected to be carried out next week. Edibles being sold inside the park are priced four times higher than the market price. As a result of this the visitors are facing great difficulties as the park seems to be a fish market and abundance of kiosks and stalls of coffee ice cream, tea stalls have fainted the beauty of the park.
