ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman called on Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, deputy crown prince and minister of defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.
The air chief conveyed the best wishes and greetings from the government and people of Pakistan. He appreciated Saudi Arabia’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region and thanked the Saudi government for an unwavering support to Pakistan. Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud expressed his satisfaction with the level of relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
He lauded PAF’s leading role in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants and reiterated that his country would stand by Pakistan in every situation.
The air chief also called on General Abd-ul-Rehman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan, chief of general staff, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest. The air chief apprised General Abd-ul-Rehman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan of PAF’s leading role in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and offered all training facilities to Saudi cadets/airmen to enhance their capabilities. The Saudi chief of general staff thanked the air chief for his visit and expressed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to boost collaboration with Pakistan in the field of defence.
Aman is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia on the special invitation of the Royal Saudi Air Force.
