Sooran Singh murder: Former ANP senator Amarjeet in list of suspects

SWAT – Former senator of Awami National Party (ANP) Amarjeet Malhotra has been held for police investigation in relation to the assassination of Pakhtunkhwa CM’s Special Assistant on Minority Affairs Sardar Sooran Singh.

Amarjeet’s name was included in the list of suspects involved in the killing of Singh, by DIG Malakand Division Azad Khan. An official of the police team informed that the former senator could be summoned any time for interrogation. Amarjeet, is located in the Tehsil Barikot area of Swat district and is politically affiliated with the ANP.

Likewise, the key accused Baldev Kumar, presently held under police custody as suspect for the assassination of Singh, is also situated in Tehsil Barikot. Singh was killed in his hometown in Buner, on April 22.
