Graduation ceremony of UoL IP students held

ISLAMABAD: An annual graduation ceremony to honor students, staff and faculty of the University of London International Program was held at The Millennium University College here, according to a press release issued on Friday.
The ceremony, held at the TMUC auditorium, acknowledged the success of graduating students of the University of London’s honors degree program in law, economics, business, management, finance and social sciences.

Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) Director General Masood Khan was the chief guest while Saad Waseem, University of London International Program country director, was the guest of honor. Parents of the graduating students, eminent figures from media, academia and industry were amongst the guests at the ceremony.
Ambassador Masood Khan, while addressing the audience, advised young students to portray a positive image of the country and contribute to the social and economic development of Pakistan while in pursuit of higher education or a career abroad. “When you graduate from this institution and you go world over, it is your responsibility to return to Pakistan to make your country the most prestigious nation on earth,” he said, and congratulated the TMUC leadership for offering a wonderful opportunity to its students in the form of international programs.
Sharing his views on the occasion, UoL Country Directory Saad Waseem stressed upon the need for graduates to form linkages with the university fraternity to find a foothold in the global arena.
TMUC Chief Executive Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq congratulated the parents of the graduating batch, while applauding the efforts of the TMUC staff and faculty associated with the University of London program.

Four of the outstanding UoL graduates, Ali Kaif, Anam Rafiq, Masham Sheraz and Zara Jan Durrani, also spoke at the occasion, sharing their extraordinary experience in pursuing an international qualification in Pakistan and their rich academic and extracurricular activities at the TMUC.
Later, certificates were awarded to the graduating batch. The university also awarded students showing notable performance in co-curricular activities.
