JALANDHAR – India’s rapper, music producer, singer and film actor Yo Yo Honey Singh is back with a bang after a long absence.
He said that there was no change in him as he was disconnected from the world for the last 18 months. But the phase was scary and his love for music was something that was always there with him that kept him strong. “I am going to release a couple of songs which I wrote during my darkest period of life,” he said.
“It was a sad phase in my life. When I was not able to do anything else, music was something that kept me going. I recorded songs on my phone and will be released soon,” he said. He said that he would not be acting in movies and his priority would be music.
“Acting is a tough job to me. Playing someone else is not my cup of tea and I do not have any future plans to act in any film but I just want to make music… music is my love and I just want to dedicate myself to it,” he said. “If someone is getting sweet dish after a meal, who would refuse it,” he said when asked, why all the Punjabi singers such as Amrinder Gill, Gippy Grewal and Diljit Dosanjh were entering in films.
“But I do not see myself as an actor, I am happy composing music,” he added. Sharing his views on Punjabi and Hindi film industries, he said that the Punjabi industry people were more loving. “I have worked here and in Hindi films, and I have noticed that Punjabi people are always loving,” he said.
