Leadership crisis behind backwardness of Sindh, says Qureshi

Author: PPI

KARACHI: The main reason of the poverty and backwardness of Sindh is its leadership crisis, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing a big rally on Saturday.

He said that the province of Sindh is rich in natural resources and full of hardworking manpower but it lacks dedicated and honest leadersdue to which the province is still deprived
and poor.

Qureshi said that the province of Sindh is bestowed with huge reserves of coal, which is called black gold, and if utilised properly it could illuminate the entire country and would remove darkness forever.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf knows the real fountain of power is our masses. Now is the time to live raising our head high in pride instead of living with our head hanging in shame, he added.

He was addressing a huge rally at PanoAqil in the anti-corruption rally of PTI entitled “Corruption Mitao, Mulk Bachao (Eliminate corruption and save the country)” reached from Sukkur. Thousands of people attended the rally that was also participated by other PTI leaders including Dr Arif Alvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Zian Hussain Qureshi, Papu Khan Chachar, Lal Malhi, Jay Parkash, Zaneerah Malik and others. Due to no further space in the jam-packed rally, ground a large number of people witnessed it from the roofs of their houses and nearby trees. A long convoy of motorcycles escorted the main rally carrying portraits of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Qureshi lauded the spirit of the people of Sindh who attended the rally despite very hot weather. He said that this is not the heat of weather but rather heat of politics. He further said it seemed that time is near when Sharif brothers would be packed for
going home.

In the decade of 1970, people were fed up of the rulers of that time and they decided their fate in the streets, he added.

He said that during the government of present rulers, innocent people are facing murder cases. Qureshi said that the apathy of rulers has divided the nation into two classes, exploiters and the exploited. He said the exploited people are supporting Imran Khan warmly.

The PTI leader said that the masses throng at every place where Imran Khan holds his rally. He said that the slogan of change attracts people towards PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

The province of Sindh has been facing immense issues in the sectors like education and healthcare, he added. Qureshi further said that when the people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) thought about change they brought a change. He said, “We have decided to go to every nook and corner of the county against corruption”.

He said that the nation is asking from the rulers and corrupt people that from which sources they have amassed their wealth.

He further said there is a poor class in Pakistan and there is another class, which is even poorer. He said unprecedented price hike has ended the purchasing power
of masses.

The PTI leaders Arif Alvi and Haleem Adil Sheikh also spoke on the occasion.
