Price of Bitcoin increased by 5.5% to $53,436

At 22:04 GMT on Friday, Bitcoin had dropped 5.5 percent to $53,435.9, a loss of $3,112.06 from its previous close.

Bitcoin, the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, is down 22.6 percent from its year-high of $69,000 on November 10.

On Friday, Ether, the digital currency tied to the Ethereum blockchain network, fell 6.81 percent to $4,208.68, a loss of $307.35 from its previous closing.
