Education best weapon to weed out terrorism: Qaim

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said education is the best weapon to compete terrorism, unrest, unemployment and other problems of the country.

In connection with education of Khairpur, the government of Sindh has restored its historical position by developing it into an education city and that is why our opponents are also admiring us.

While speaking to media personnel and addressing an education achievement programme organised by NOWA Pirbhat, he said that to promote education, Sindh government has achieved remarkable achievements.

The CM said that by establishing major education institutions in rural areas, Sindh government has proved that our government by following the vision of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto has driven out people
of Sindh from the menace of illiteracy.

He further said that the province of Sindh is enriched with natural resources and its people are education friendly. He said Shah Mehmoood Qureshi during his recent visit of Sindh province, has admired its people, which is a proof of our achievements and successfulness.

The chief minister while admiring the services of Sindh NOWA Pirbhat and its project Director Mola Bux Larik has said that NOWA Pirbhat is providing modern education to 4,000 children of 22 schools of district Khairpur, which is an admirable act. He also announced a grant of Rs 25 lac for the development of NOWA Pirbhat.

Earlier, the NOWA Pirbhat Project Director Mola Bux Larik while addressing the programme said that the organisation had started work since 1992 and provided education to 2,800 girls through Social Action Programme in rural areas. During past 14 years, besides the female education, their mothers were also provided education trainings, he added.

After this, the Sindh chief minister visited different stalls established by various schools of NOWA Pirbhat and awarded Rs 25,000 prize to Mir Muhammad Solangi School Kunb for establishing the best stall.
