Next few days vital : Major reshuffle in almost all political parties expected

ISLAMABAD: A major reshuffling in almost all the political parties is going to begin on a massive scale in the next few days.

A senior leader of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf is all set to move towards the ruling PML-N, but he has sought guarantees of the central leadership of theN-League, whereas the PTI has also made some eight members of the national assembly from the PML(N) its chums.

On the other hand many enormous political families hailing from Southern Punjab are getting ready to join the PTI, whereas Pakistan People’s Party has kicked off working on former Governor Punjab and PTI leader Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar to get his joining the PPP.

Contacts are developing between the PML(N) and PTI’s leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi rapidly. A reliable source said that a meeting was held between Qureshi and Political Secretary to the Prime Minister Asif Kirmani, in which the latter invited the PTI’s leader to join the PML(N) but Qureshi replied if the top central leadership of the PML(N) gives him guarantees he could think about joining the ruling party.

The sources told the Daily Times that Kirmani conveyed the message of the PM to Qureshi that the premier wants to see him in the rank and files of the PML(N) and he could either be given an important slot in Punjab or made the Foreign Minister. The Prime Minister’s representative assured Makhdoom that in case of emerging victorious in the next general elections he could be made the Chief Minister of Punjab.

However Shah Mehmood Qureshi informed Kirmani if either the Mian brothers or Ishaq Dar would directly speak to him, then this move could be carried forward.

Dependable sources said that the PTI had striped deeply into the ranks and files of the PML(N) as some eight ruling party MNAs who are fed up with the behaviour of Mian brothers, are weighing up their wings to take a flight towards the PTI after leaving PML(N).

Jamshed Dasti from Southern Punjab has given a green signal if Shah Mehmood leaves the party he would instantly join thePTI. Moreover the negotiations between the top leadership and Nowani brothers, a prominent family from Bukkur having much political weight in Southern Punjab have almost been finalized and they could announce to join the Pakistan Tehrik-iInsaf at any time.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nowani brothers got overwhelming success in the recent local bodies elections but Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif utilised his all authority to prevent them from becoming Mayor of Bukkur. Likewise other political stalwarts Bahadur Khan Saihar and Sajjad Khan Saihar from the area of Carore Lal Eisan of Southern Punjab are also ready to join the caravan of the PTI.

Another big political personality from Southern Punjab Dost Muhammad Khosa has also made up his mind to join the PTI.

The talks between former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and the leadership of the PTI is under way but she is looking towards Fatima Bhutto in Sindh, if the grand daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would decide to start her political career, then Hina would be standing beside her shoulder to shoulder.

The senior leadership of PPP is trying to get in touch with PTI’s senior leader Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar because Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is very keen that he joins the PPP.

The sources said that Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan is harshly opposing acceptance of Shah Mehmood Qureshi in thePML(N). In this connection the Interior Minister’s stance is very clear that Qureshi always perform politics for getting a higher post only.
