Seven held, one killed in encounter

KARACHI: Police apprehended seven alleged criminals from different parts of the provincial metropolis on Tuesday.

According to police report, Baghdadi police arrested three alleged criminals within their limits. The police also recovered weapons from their possession. The detained indicts were shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Their identities of the detainees could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Separately, a police team conducted a raid in Gulshan-e-Maymar area and apprehended three accused. The police said that they had also recovered a large quantity of Irani smuggled oil from them.

Meanwhile, a police party apprehended fake police personnel in Pirabad, area of Orangi Town. The arrested accused was later identified as Abdullah. The police also claimed to have recovered arms from his possession. On a separate note, an alleged dacoit was killed in an encounter with police in metropolis on Tuesday.
