KHAIRPUR: Two women and a man were allegedly killed over honour in the jurisdiction of Bandhi and Bagirji police stations on Saturday.
As per details, a mother of three was gunned down along with her paramour in the early hours in ward-6 of Bandhi town. Another girl was also murdered reportedly for the same issue.
SHO Ghulam Sarwar told journalists that 25-year-old Parveen Rajput and Muhammad Bux Jamali were killed in the name of honour by the woman’s brother-in-law. He stated that Ghulam Muhammad Rajput surrendered himself to the police with a gun and confessed to the double murder.
The SHO said that he told the police he reportedly lost his senses and opened fire on them after he saw them in an’objectionable condition’ in her house.
The police said that the families of the victims did not come to lodge an FIR; so an investigation report would be registered on behalf of the state to study the case from various angles. The dead bodies after post-mortem in Nawabshah hospital were handed over to their relatives.
Bagirji police alleged that Muhammad Ali Jatoi fired on Arbeli Jatoi at Katchha area resulting in the latter’s death whereas the ran away. The police took the body into custody, moving it to Bagirji health centre for autopsy. It was later handed over to her parents. The police registered an investigation report in order to go through the case in detail.
