Five police officials injured by people in Multan

Multan: Five police officials were injured on Friday morning by people while they were investigating a suicide case of a woman in Multan.

When the investigating team reached the house of the victim woman identified as Musarrat, who had allegedly committed suicide over domestic issues by eating toxic pills, the deceased’s family members threw bricks at police, which left five policemen injured. Windows and windscreen of a police vehicle were also broken by the attackers. The injured were rushed to a private hospital for medical treatment. The police have registered a case against unknown persons and started investigations. CPO Multan Azhar Akram said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their hand and the culprits involved in the incident will be put behind bars.
