Police solve murder mystery of body found at Jheel Park

KARACHI: Friendship on Facebook has become murderous as the Jamshaid Town police has solved the murder case of Rashid a transgender by arresting the main culprit on Friday just after the one week of the murder.

A dead body was found near from Jheel Park in the remit of Ferozabad area on Tuesday 29th May last week.

According to officials, the body bore torture marks. The deceased was latter identified in the hospital as 24-year-old Rashid, a resident of Baghdadi in Lyari.

Police at the time of registering the case was clueless and termed the case a blind murder but investigation latterly lead the police to killers.

SP Jashed Town Dr Rizwan held a press conference to share the details on Friday in his office, according to him police the deceased Rashid was friend of anther transgender namely Shehzad alias Aizna who had killed Rashid with the help of his another transgender friend namely Talha who is on the run and police were after him.

“Shehzad initially cajoled Rashid and made him friend on Facebook and after that they starteded to meet each other but on a dispute over money Shehzad and Talha killed Rashid and threw his body near Jheel Park” SP further informed.

The investigation from the cell phone of Rashid and CCTV Footage near Jheel Park led the police to find the killer.

Police recovered some solid evidence from the Facebook ID of Rashid and Shezad in which they both had discussion and conversations.

Police arrested Shehzad on Tuesday from his residence but Talha could not be nabbed as he was not there.

According to the SP police will soon nab the other accused and will also put him behind the bars.

On the other hand accused Shehzad told that he killed Rashid in his defense but police said that Shehzad has a record of alluring people for money.
