KARACHI: The inquiry committee, constituted by the Sindh Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon to probe the appointments made in the education department, has summoned all the officers to record their statements before the committee, it is learnt.
According to summon served by the Section Officer (Schools-I) Sarang Samoo, the former education officers have been directed to appear before Special Secretary Home at 11 am on June 5, 2015 in connection to recording the statements in office of Special Home Secretary.
According to sources, Attaullah Bhutto, Former Director Schools Karachi, Shamsuddin Dal, Former Director School Education Karachi, Bashir Ahmed Abbasi, Former District Education Office (Male) Secondary and Higher Secondary, Mumtaz Ali Shaikh, Former District Education Officer (Male) Primary Karachi, Farnaz Riaz, Former District Education Officer (Female) Primary Karachi and Abdul Latif Mughal, Former Deputy District Education Officer (Male) Primary Karachi, have been directed to appear before the inquiry committee.
The sources said that the committee would submit a detailed investigation report to the Chief Minister Sindh after which the final decision about release of salaries to the teachers appointed during the tenure of former education minister Pir Mazharul Haq and the issue of reinstatement of these officers would also be resolved.
