KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has decided to pay salaries to Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) employees. Presiding over a meeting of Irrigation Department at the Chief Minister’s House on Monday, he also announced to allocate 20 percent promotion quota for ‘draoghas’ to the posts of sub-engineer. Senior Minister for Finance andIrrigation Syed Murad Ali Shah, Principal Secretary to CM Alamuddin Bullo, Secretary Irrigation Zaheer Hyder Shah, Commissioner Hyderabad Qazi Shahid Parvez, Special Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi and others also attended the meeting. The chief minister also directed the irrigation secretary to ensure provision of water to the tail-end growers. “There should be no complaints of artificial shortage or favouritism,” he directed.
