ISLAMABAD: On the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). the name of former Advisor Finance to Balochistan Government, Khalid Lango has been put on the exit control list(ECL) in the Mushtaq Raisani case. On the other hand, according to an unconfirmed report Khalid Lango has already crossed the border to Afghanistan before coming into the grip of NAB.

NAB Balochistan has also decided to include Deputy Commissioner Qalat, DC Mastung and Deputy Commissioner Turbat in the enquiry , whereas the probe of the assets held by Provincial Minister for Health , Rehmat Baluch has also been commenced. Meanwhile, Mir Asim Kurd Gello, who worked as minister in the cabinets of three chief ministers has also come in the circle of NAB. The sources told the Daily Times that former Chief Minister Aslam Raisani had brought a lot of property worth billions of rupees in Dubai and other countries after fleeing from the country. Khalid Lango did not appear before the investigation team of NAB, in spite of the fact , that NAB called him on Thursday for questioning in the Mushtaq Raisani case. When Lango tendered his resignation , he announced that he would extend full support to NAB in the investigation of the said case. It seems that Khalid Lango slipped away from the hands of NAB. When accountability bureau’s officers tried to call him again and again but all his cell phones were switched off. When they reached his home , it was locked.

After that NAB had entered the name of Khalid Lango in the ECL which shows that NAB officers had not confirmed information that he had run away from the country. The sources also told this scribe that NAB had also started a probe against a former provincial secretary K.B.Rind and a sitting secretary. In addition to this NAB is continuing the enquiry swiftly against the embezzlement of Rs 2.5 billion in the construction of Bolan Dam. The expenses of Rs 2.5 billion were shown on papers just to fill the stomach of the files. But physically not even a single penny was utilised for the construction of the dam . The sources said that the amount was swallowed by three personalities , including former Chief Minister Aslam Raisani, Haji Lashkari Raisani and Asim Kurd Gello. At the moment NAB’s biggest challenge is to arrest those 11 persons before they fled the country , whose names were disclosed by former Secretary Finance Mushtaq Raisani during the course of interrogation, and for which NAB is devising a policy. But sources said that some of them had already run off.
