CPO vows fool-proof security for top projects

GUJRANWALA: City Police Officer Ashfaq Khan said that fool proof security arrangements would be ensured for the safety of top projects and foreign staff working on these projects. He said this during his visit to hydel power project Chianwali on Sunday.

DC Muhammad Amir Jaan and other officers also accompanied him. The CPO inspected various points and issued directions to tighten the security arrangements. Meanwhile, in a briefing, it was reported that sufficient staff have been appointed at entrance and exit points. CCTV cameras and walk through gates have also been installed at all important places while long range search lights are being used at night to improve security measures.

Separately, a seven-year-old boy drowned in acanal while swimming.

Vikram Masih S/O Shahbaz Masih was swimming in Ghumanwala canal when he went into deep waters and drowned.Receiving the information,Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and fished out the dead body after a one hour operation.

Meanwhile, Garjakh police have arrested three members of a drug gang and recovered heroin and other drugs from them. It was revealed that SHO Adnan Shahzad along with his team conducted a raid and held three accused: Arslan, Irshad and Abdul Wahab and recovered 1270 grams heroin and 2,640 gram chars from them.
