ISLAMABAD: The Assistant Officer Protocol (AOP) to the Prime Minister (PM) has been given a free hand to satisfy his voluptuous desires with the reports that he has neither been arrested nor has any investigation been initiated against him for his alleged intrusion into the house of a lady in Bhara Kahu and harassing her.
Nasim Khan, Assistant Officer Protocol to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is alleged to have forced his way into the house of a lady Kalsooma Abdul Rehman on Sunday, harassing and threatening her by resorting to aerial firing.
Upon this the brothers of the lady thrashed him. Later he again got into the house of the lady along with some other persons and resorted to aerial firing. At this the brothers of the lady and the inmates of the neighbourhood beat him and he was injured.
He was later admitted to a hospital. His accomplices fled from the scene and the police have failed to arrest them so far.
Nasim Khan is still out of the grip of law as police are hesitant in taking any action against him for his pelf and clout. Police have not arrested him despite the fact that the clauses recorded in the
Federal Investigation Agency are of cognizable offence.
Investigation Officer (IO) of the case Arshid said that the accused was still in hospital and action will be taken against him when he is discharged. On the other hand no policeman has been deployed at the hospital.
The accused was admitted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after being thrashed and beaten by the brothers of the victim lady. But he had not received any serious injuries nor was any bone broken or fractured.
The police is not moving the proceedings forward against the accused Assistant Officer Protocol despite a lapse of 36 hours. The police could not ascertain how many accomplices were with him when he intruded into the house again.
On the other hand the police is considering to take a forward action against the brothers of the lady victim.
The police said that the brothers of the lady had thrashed Nasim Khan and action will be taken against them if they are found at fault.
