ISLAMABAD: Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Tuesday said a meeting of the OIC General Assembly is going to be held in Pakistan on May 30, in which suggestions would be finalised for next year’s summit.
Speaking on a calling attention notice in the National Assembly, Sartaj said preparations for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Science and Technology, scheduled to be held next year in Kazakhstan, would be made in Pakistan.
He said the venue of the summit was changed on request of the Kazakh government, adding that this was a good forum for the OIC member countries to progress and boost cooperation in sector of science and technology.
Sartaj said Pakistan was going to host the next SAARC summit. He said the law and order situation in the country had improved significantly as compared to 2013-14 due to the incumbent government’s efforts. He hoped that the law and order situation would further improve.
