Amir Muqam ‘foresees’ no load shedding after 2017

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Prime Minister Engineer Ameer Muqam has said that the federal government knows the problems of common people and hopefully at the end of 2017 load shedding will be eradicated from the country.

This he said on Monday in a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club, he said that soon 9000 Mega Watt electricity would be included in the system.

He further informed that the federal government has already completed four Grade stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif itself monitoring the energy crises in the country.

About the annwal development program and the current federal government budget, Ameer Muqam said that the federal government allocated one thousand billion budget for the fiscal 2017-18.

He informed that in the ADP program there were 227 billion rupees for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for different developmental programs.

He further added that the federal government 2017-2018 federal budget in which part of the KP is Water and Power Duration 101625.400, Science and Technology 2.00, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission 898.362, Higher Education Commission 4791.904.

About the shares in Federal Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) allocated budget of the federal government for 20`17-`18 as for 100.000 million, Higher Education Commission 550,000 , Interior 2796.65.etc.

He further added that for Lowari Tunnel 27 billion rupees has been allocated and in the next two months the projects will be started for the people.

Heb further informed that 9000 mega watt electricity will be included in the system, adding that the federal government has started many project in power and energy and after the completion of these projects the country will be self sufficient in electricity production.
