Doctor injured in gunfire near Mayo Hospital

LAHORE: Mayo Hospital’s Urology Department Registrar Dr Wajid Ali Shah was shot and injured by unidentified assailants on Wednesday.

Police said two persons riding a motorcycle opened fire on Dr Ali at the parking lot near the hospital.

The injured was shifted to the operation theatre for treatment where his condition was stated to be serious.

Family members of Dr Ali said that he had no dispute with any one and police should arrest the assailants forthwith.
