Sindh govt assures it will resolve builders’ problems

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial has assured the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) to solve all genuine problems of builders and developers.

He was talking to ABAD Chairman Hanif Gohar during a reception held by the minister in honour of businessmen and industrialists at the Bilawal House. Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Butto Zaradri also attended the reception as chief guest. Hanif Gohar apprised the minister of problems faced by builders and developers, especially illegal occupation of builders’ land.

The minister said that his department and the Sindh government are well aware of builders’ problems for constructing their residential and commercial projects, adding that timely action would be taken to redress grievances of builders and developers. He appreciated the role of ABAD for facilitating both builders and general public. He also accepted invitation extended by Hanif Gohar to visit ABAD soon.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Fariyal Talpur, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and other political personalities as well as leading businessmen and industrialists including S M Muneer, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Siraj Kassim Teli, Arif Habib, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Sardar Yaseen, Nadeem Khan also attended the reception.

Faryal Talpur, talking to the ABAD chairman, said that the builders should be given all facilities so that they can complete their projects smoothly. She also praised the role of ABAD. Addressing the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the chief minister to establish Planning Commission of Sindh. The business community had proposed to establish the Planning Commission of Sindh for better development of the province.
