ISLAMABAD: National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Drama Club of Faculty of English Studies (FES), in collaboration with Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), organized a play titled Alif Iqbal at NUML Auditorium.
The play is a satire social vanity and highlights the importance of education and its role in social mobility. The story revolves around the transformation of a poor servant Bala, to Iqbal and realization of his self-consciousness or Khudi.
The performance of students was appreciated by the audience including students and faculty from NUML and some other universities. The impact of the play, through the performance of students, was vivid as they used various expressionistic techniques. Earlier the same day, Rector NUML inaugurated the Creative Writing Boards and conferred badges on the office holders of different societies formed by FES. The event was attended by Registrar, Dean (FES), HoDs, and faculty of FES.
The event marked a new chapter in NUML’s history serving to promote student’s creative writing skills.
