ISLAMABAD: The body of a high-profile government functionary deteriorated owing to lack of cooling in mortuary at Polyclinic Hospital.
The high profile Government functionary was on his way to WAPDA House Dhokri in Islamabad to attend a meeting where he suffered heart attack in which he breathed his last.

The body started emitting bad smell due to hot and sultry weather after three hours then hospital management rushed to mortuary and arranged to place the body in the box full of cooling immediately so that the body does not deteriorate further.

Sources stated that Dr Durdana, in-charge mortuary has strictly forbidden the staff members from leaking out the matter to anyone else. When contacted for confirmation of the report, Executive Director Polyclinic Hospital Dr Amjid said that no such incident is in his knowledge. However, inquiry will be conducted after confirmation of the incident.
