Rain, windstorm break heat spell in parts of Pakistan

LAHORE: Windstorms and scattered rain are going to break the current intense heat wave in the different areas of Pakistan and turns the weather pleasant on Monday.

Rainfall in Islamabad, Murree and adjacent areas brought respite from the extreme heat. Rainfall was also recorded in Gujrat, Swat, Azad Kashmir and Peshawar. In the next 24 hours rainfall is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Upper Punjab, FATA, GB and Azad Kashmir, the Met department forecast said.

Scattered rain is also expected to hit Sukkur, Zhob, Larkana, Multan, DIKhan, Bannu and Multan. Hot and dry weather is expected in the rest of Pakistan.
