BAGH: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday demanded an effective system of accountability to ensure justice and said that corruption is spoiling the nation like a termite.

While addressing the PTI’s workers at Degree College Ground Bagh laid emphasis on welfare of the country.

Pakistan has more resources than Britain

Imran said that Pakistan has more resources than Britain. There police have no interference in politics. While giving example of Britain, he said that their government gets money from the people in the form of taxes and spent for their welfare.

In Britain, he said that nobody is treated inhumanely everyone is treated equally, even the high authority officials travel via local transport, adding that it has strong merit system with no corruption.

Corruption Mafia

He regretted that in Pakistan corruption mafia is ruling. He said a nation cannot prosper if its leaders are corrupt. He said the Sharif family is buying luxurious flats in London, from tax payer’s money.

He said that Pakistan can produce more electricity than Iran and Saudi Arabia. It has more oil, gas, and water resources than any of these countries but due to corruption the country is unable to flourish, he said.

System of NAB

The PTI chairman said that development is not just building roads. He said justice means every one accountable, whether it is Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif or Imran.

He also said that it is Nawaz’s agenda of working for mega projects to get substantial commission. He said that institutes in our country should not be political; money is taken from the people and is not spent for the welfare of the people. This needs to be checked.
