ISLAMABAD: The brother of Sirzameen Khan, Member National Assembly (MNA), on Monday allegedly injured a police officer in Sector F-7 of the federal capital.

Kohsar Police got information that the accused was wanted in a case on the charge of giving two dud cheques amounting to five million rupees. The cheques were dishonored by the bank.

Kohsar Police registered the case and started an investigation against the accused Shehzad Cheema. After the case had been in the court for two years, Kohsar Police declared Shehzad a proclaimed offender.

But on Monday, Kohsar Police raided Jinnah Super Market and found that Shehzad Cheema along with his brother Sarzameen Khan, Zaib Khan and his gun man Gul Zaib Khan, was present there.

When Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Shahid and constable Asif moved forward to arrest Shehzad, MNA Sarzameen Khan started slapping the constable. Then Gul Zaib Khan opened fire injuring the constable.

After the incident the MNA and his gun man fled from the scene while Shehzad and his brother Zaib Khan also tried to flee. However, some citizens netted both the brothers and handed them over to the police.
