ISLAMABAD: An employee of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the clout of his being member of the intelligence agency has implicated his ex son-in-law in scores of false cases. He did this bearing a grudge against his son-in-law for divorcing his daughter.

Muhammad Ejaz Mughal, former son-in-law of Owais Ahmad, an IB official has now been forced to approach the Director General (DG) IB for seeking justice.

He took the plea to the IG IB, that he was married to Qiratul Ain, daughter of Owais Ahmad, an IB personnel but they had to be separated due to domestic quarrels and incompatibility of temperament. The marriage ended in divorce.

He stated that Qirat ul Ain being provoked by his father moved the court against him and Owais Ahmad got several fabricated cases registered against him through his daughter.

He added that upon his requesting Owais Ahmad not to file false cases against him, the man threatened him saying that he was an IB employee and would teach him a lesson.

He further said that the IB was a venerable institution and it was aimed at providing protection to the people. People like Owais Ahmad were bringing a bad name to the IB.
