The national side is currently undergoing physical training in the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul. “I discussed the training schedule with the trainers in Abbottabad and I think if such a camp is organised again for a longer period of time, it will help a lot,” Inzamam said.

The two-week-long training course is scheduled to end on May 28 after which the players will be given two days of rest, he said. “The week-long skill camp for the England tour will run from May 30 to June 5,” the chief selector said while addressing a press conference at the Pakistan Cricket Board headquarters in Lahore.

Pakistan Test opener Ahmed Shehzad and Test middle-order batsman Umar Akmal have been axed from the tour. The two have come under fire for their disciplinary issues.
