Hardship faced by journalists to be resolved: Chandio

KARACHI: Sindh Adviser on Information Moula Bux Chandio has said that since he has taken the present portfolio he was trying to resolve the problems and hardship faced by journalists community and will continue in future as well.

He was talking to a delegation of meida who presented a memorable shield of Karachi Press Club and Tripple E. This shield was presented in the office of adviser, said on Wednesday.

Chandio thanked them for their shield and said that Sindh government believes in freedom of expressions and assured that government is providing full security to media men, media houses and newspaper organisations.

The adviser said that journalists and press is considered as fourth pillar of the state and its importance in the nation building process.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) always strived for democracy and suffered untold miseries at the hands of dictators and those journalists who used their pens for truth were also subjected to torture.

He further said that for the strength of democracy and political stability in the country the role of journalists’ community is highly important.
