Wanted terrorist held in Hangu

HANGU: The Hangu police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a wanted terrorist.

On tip-off, the police conducted a raid at a hideout and arrested the wanted terrorist identified as Nabeelur Rahman. Hangu District Police Officer (DPO) Shah Nazar said that the suspecte was wanted to the police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in a number of sabotage acts, murder and attempt to murder cases.

The police shifted the suspect to an undisclosed location for further investigation. Meanwhile, the Hangu police claimed to have arrested four proclaimed offenders and recovered a huge cache of weapons from them during a raid in Doaba.

The suspects were identified as Abdul Aziz, Mohammad Zahoor, Rafiq, Bhaktair Khan. The police recovered a Kalashnikov, two pistols, one gun, 106 cartridges and 1335 grams of heroin, said DPO Hangu Shah Nazar. Further investigation is under way.
