QUETTA: The Accountability Court has approved a fortnight’s remand for the former finance advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Khalid Khan Lango in a corruption case. He will remain in NAB’s custody till June 07.
A team of NAB Balochistan brought Mir Lango to court amid tight security and requested a remand for 14 days. The court accepted NAB’s application and remanded Mir Lango over to the bureau. NAB Balochistan issued three summons to Mir Lango to appear before it for questioning in the Raisani graft case, but he failed to appear in this regard.
Earlier, he obtained pre-arrest protective bail from the Islamabad High Court for 12 days and later, filed an application with the Balochistan High Court to grant him protective bail which rejected his request in this connection. The NAB team arrested him outside the Balochistan High Court premises on May 25 and later produced him before the Accountability Court on May 26 for getting his remand.
