Govt spends Rs 8bn for development in Gilgit Baltistan: minister

ISLAMABAD: Gilgit Baltistan Minister for Works Dr Muhammad Iqbal has said that the Gilgit-Baltistan government had spent Rs 8 billion against development budget so far.

The minister said the federal government had released the development budget of current financial year well in time which helped to complete a number of ongoing schemes timely, Radio Pakistan reported.

He said the government would achieve its sixth month development target by the end of next month which would help set the province on pat of progress.
