Western countries promoting ‘corruption’ in developing countries: Siraj

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has said that days of corrupt elements were numbered.

While speaking to the party workers at the culmination of the party’s train march here the Cantt railway station on Friday, he said that Pakistan has remained in the clutches of corrupt rulers but now their accountability has started.

He said that hanging ropes and chains were just ready and the only thing that has to be decided was the sequence under which the culprits will be held accountable. The JI leader said that corruption was the only major cause of poverty in the country.

He said that when voted to power, he would register first information reports of killing 150 children of Thar against the rulers. The JI leader ridiculed western countries for harboring safe havens like Panama for corrupt people saying international powers were promoting corruption in developing countries.
