BAHAWALNAGAR: A drone of the Pakistan Army crashed on Wednesday due to a technical glitch in Bahawalnagar; however, no loss of life was reported.
According to sources, the drone fell in the fields in the Muhammadpur area of Bahawalnagar. A large number of people reached the area to participate in the ‘rescue’ activity.
A team of the Pakistan Army arrived at the scene and removed the debris. Moreover, investigation into the matter has now been launched.
Earlier on April 15, 2017, training aircraft ‘Mushshak’ of the Pakistan Army took off from Mangla Airbase for a training exercise but encountered an accident in Haral Village. However, both pilots Colonel Fazlur Rehman and Captain Affan remained safe in the crash. Pakistan’s armed forces have had several air accidents in the past 18 months, including a crash that killed a female jet pilot in another training exercise.
