KARACHI: A step has been taken for tailor-made training for the capital market professionals.
In this regard, the Center for Executive Education, Institute of Business Administration (CEE-IBA) in Karachi and Institute of Capital Markets (ICM) have join hands, an official of IBA Karachi said on Saturday. He stated IBA Acting Dean and Director Dr Sayeed Ghani and ICM CEO Muhammad
Ali Khan inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which would not only help prospect candidates to appear in the certification exams, but also enable professionals to attend custom made programmes at IBA for continuous professional development. According to the MoU, the CEE at IBA would be responsible to develop curriculum/trainings/seminars in collaboration with ICM, whereas Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) would be in advisory capacity to the whole process.
This collaboration, it was further pointed out, has been made possible because of the continuous efforts of CEE Director Dr Izhar Hussain and PSX Deputy Managing Director Haroon Askari. For the first time in Pakistan, tailor-made trainings would be offered for capital market professionals in the areas of brokerage, mutual funds distribution, insurance and related areas. Trained Human resource is a prerequisite for development of capital markets.
In this regard, ICM has launched their certification programmes, which now have been made mandatory by SECP. The collaboration will be led by ICM CEO Muhammad Ali Khan and IBA’s Dr Ahmad Junaid.
