PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that the provincial government is working on a poor and farmer friendly budget in a cheque distributing ceremony to office bearers of the Nowshera Press Club on Sunday.

CM Pervez Khattak said that every poor family would get up to Rs175,000 health insurance, schemes like distribution of free fertilizers and installation of solar tube wells would be introduced to facilitate farmers and promote agriculture in the province.

Pervez Khattak urged the federal government to deal with the sense of deprivation of the smaller provinces. “Fair distribution of natural resources, provision of net hydel profit and gas royalty would assist Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to allocate more resources for the welfare of the people. The federal government should fulfil the promises it made with the smaller provinces,” he said.

The CM alleged that the previous governments had looted the public exchequer by launching substandard projects whereas the PTI was interested in spending everything on the development of the people of KP. “Our party wants to spend every paisa of the development projects on people-friendly projects,” he said

The chief minister added that the PTI-led government would introduce similar development schemes across the province with greater efficiency by eliminating all types of political interference from the ruling alliance.
