MPA Ali Amin star KP Assembly team to win against Punjab Assembly team in T20 Cricket Series

PESHAWAR: Opener Ali Amin Ghandapur star Khyber Assembly team to 50 runs victory against Punjab Assembly team by leveling the two-match Twenty20 Cricket Series 1-1 at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium.

“We are going to involve Balochistan, Sindh Provincial Assemblies teams besides a team from the National Assembly and Senate in the cricket series initiated with the aim to create cordial relation in the rank of the legislatures,” Mian Munir told APP in a post-match talks.

“We have already chalked out a plan to have cricketing team of all the provincial and national assemblies and the Senate before selecting a fine team of the legislature to represent Pakistan in a friendly series against the legislature from neighboring India,” Mian Munir, added.

“The series is aimed at to create a condusive environment between two neighboring countries Pakistan and India,” Mian Munir who was also remained manager of the Pak-India Series played in way back 1998-99 wherein Pakistan defeated India in the home series.

The cricketing phobia hit hard as far as the members of the provincial assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are concerned with some thrilling gestures were witnessed that attracted large crowd at both of the venues – Qadafi Stadium and Abbottabad Cricket Stadium.

In the first match played at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore under the lights Punjab Assembly won by 11 runs as the match stretched to last overs and similarly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly guided by star batsman Ali Amin Ghangapur with a handsome knock of 87 runs laced with 13 boundaries and three sixes while facing only 33 balls. Ali Amin completed his fastest half-century on just 17 balls. Earlier, KP Assembly skipper Shah Farman won the toss and decided to bat first by setting up 198 runs target for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

Ali Amin Khan Ghangapur scored 87 runs off 33 balls, MPA Gul Saif made

53 runs off 54 balls with four boundaries and two sixes. For Punjab Assembly team MPA Waqar Muaqal took four wickets for 36 runs.

In reply, Punjab Assembly opener MPA Adnan Farid hammered a cracking 90 runs off 45 balls with 18 boundaries and one six. Adnan Farid smashed all bowlers with some lofting boundaries. For KP Assembly Ali Amin got two wickets for 16 runs, Shah Farman got three for 9 runs, Shoukat Yousafzai took two for 12 and MPA Rashad Khan got two for 24 runs. Thus Punjab Assembly bowled for 147 runs in the 19.3 overs. Ali Amin was declared Man of the match.

The MPA of Punjab Assembly gave away winners prizes to KP Assembly team and KP Assembly team gave away trophies and other prizes to Punjab Assembly team.

MPA Amina Sardar, District Nazim Abbottabad Sardar Sher Bahadar, Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Amara Amir Khattak, Director Operation Tariq Mehmood, Director Sports Syed Saqlain Shah, DSO Mir Bashar Khan and large numbers of spectators were also present.
