LAHORE: Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Chaudhry Sarwar has said that opposition parties were on same page against corruption and the nation wants to see corrupt political figures behind bars.
Talking to different delegations at his office in Lahore, he said that the people were compelled to take to the streets against the government. “If any political party reaches an understanding with the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) over the Panama leaks issue, we will counter it on the political front,” he said.
Sarwar said that the common man is given relief in annual budgets around the world but the ruling government imposes new taxes on commodities and daily used items.
