Nawaz says thanks to nation for prayers

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that he is utmost thankful to the entire nation for praying for his health and quick recovery.

Talking to media outside the Pakistan High Commission here, he said that Pakistanis around the globe either belonging to the Muslim or Christian faith were praying for his quick recovery. “I am highly thankful to everyone who prayed for me,” he said.

Nawaz said that he has been involved in all consultation that has taken place till now in regards to the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year. He said that he has been part of the consultative process for the preparation of the budgetary proposals.

He said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is in London, also briefed him about different matters. Nawaz presided over meetings of the federal cabinet and the National Economic Council (NEC) through a video link from the High Commission.
