ISLAMABAD: The workers of Capital Development Authority (CDA) on the call of CDA Mazdoor Union (CBA), hold token strike of two hours to protest demand for their rights.
The workers of CDA consisting of Capital Hospital, Chairman’s Complex, DG Services, Sanitation, Water Supply, Water Tankers, Fire Brigade, One window, Pak Secretariat, Environment, Road Directorate, Maintenance Directorate, and in all other departments, hold token strike and whole work force wearing black bands gathered on different places and they reiterated/repeated their rights to provide protection and protested in this respect.
They raised slogans in favour of Ch. Muhammad Yaseen and the CBA Union. In Capital Hospital and in Chairman’s Complex, Ch. Muhammad Yaseen, General Secretary, Aurangzaib Khan, President, Shakir Zaman Kiani, Chairman of the CBA Union addressed the gatherings of workers. General Secretary, CBA Union said that they are not opposed to anybody but they are protecting their rights.
CDA Mazdoor Union loves the country and they are all out for the development and protection of democracy in the country and they believe in bilateral negotiations for resolution of disputes, the Secretary General said. He said that he was sorry to say that workers have not been taken into confidence for the service safety and protection of 15000 employees of the establishment including their rights.
